Let it snow!!!

Well, either everybody’s hard at work today or they’re doing absolutely nothing because the blogs have been relatively quiet this morning.

All I really care about is the possibility that it may snow, but Steve Stucker at KOB.com is blogging about kittens. (That is 100 percent true.) Get on with the important stuff, people!

Over at Inkstain, full-time reporter and part-time blogger John Fleck has a post about the increasingly dire financial situation of traditional newspapers and wonders about the future of non-traditional (not-for-profit) media, such as NMI. We share both the nail-biting and the wonder, John. On that same note, here’s a link to Editor and Publisher, where you can read all the latest news about the state of the newspaper business. (Spoiler alert: It’s ALL BAD.)

On a serious note, from Joe Monahan today comes a juicy little tidbit: Heather Brewer will be leaving her job as executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice NM to work for Congressman-elect Martin Heinrich, heading up his Albuquerque office. Who will take over at NARAL? Can anyone tell me? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Over at Weekly Alibi they’re …oh crap! They’re doing exactly what we’re doing. See Alibi’s version of the local blog roundup here. It’s just as trivial, but in a slightly different way.
