Bush in NM?

By | 05.06.08 | 10:27 am

President Bush may be coming to New Mexico later this month. And he may be raising money for GOP-handpicked 1st Congressional Candidate Darren White, Heath Haussamen reports.

White is running against Republican State Senator Joe Carraro. And the two have little love for each other, as observers of the race have no doubt registered in recent weeks.

The President is expected in the Land of Enchantment May 27, Haussamen reports, and gets his info from someone with knowledge of the event. Details — like where, when and how much to attend — are unknown but probably forthcoming.

In a rare move, the national and state Republican parties have endorsed White in advance of the June 3 primary. But Carraro is running hard and just put a TV ad.

Expect more fireworks as the primary nears.
