KUNM News Director Jim Williams recently sat down with several local reporters to talk over the big stories of 2008. And as you can imagine there was a lot to talk about: Barack Obama‘s huge victory in otherwise purple New Mexico; the Democratic sweep in congressional races; the corruption scandal that ensnared a former powerful state senator; Gov. Bill Richardson’s imminent departure for Washington; and all that other stuff we call news.

In addition to Williams who moderated the discussion and myself, Steve Terrell of The Santa Fe New Mexican and NMI’s Marjorie Childress participated in what turned out to be a lively discussion. It’s about an hour long, but everyone who participated agreed we could have talked for another three hours because 2008 was so dad-blamed eventful.
