What happens when you gather one Trip Jennings of NMI, Steven Robert Allen of Common Cause New Mexico, Gabe Sanchez of UNM’s political science department, and yours truly, around KNME’s table?

That’s easy… a wide-ranging discussion of the investigation that has turned New Mexico politics upside down — and denied Gov. Richardson a return back to Washington. We cover the current status of the federal investigations into pay-to-play allegations involving CDR Financial Products Inc. and the governor’s office, in addition the scandal’s many political implications. Also, as the investigation plays out might the cause of ethics reform benefit — ironically enough — in the legislative session set to begin on Jan. 20? We cover that too.

The above video comes courtesy of KNME. It is the entire show, the first 33 minutes of which is the segment with Jennings, Allen, Sanchez and me. It is followed by another segment of analysis from Albuquerque Journal columnist Jim Scarantino, Republican strategist Whitney Cheshire, blogger Jon Knudsen, all moderated by my KNME New Mexico In Focus co-host Gene Grant.
