The Republican Party of New Mexico announced late Thursday that there are no more tickets available for the 6 p.m. rally at the Albuquerque Convention Center, 401 2nd Street NW. More than 6,000 tickets were handed out, which the state GOP said in a news release makes this “one of the most exciting campaign stops of this election.”
“The level of excitement among voters about Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin visiting New Mexico is fantastic,” Shira Rawlinson, state GOP communications director, said in the release.
“We could not keep up with the phone calls and requests for tickets. It was truly amazing. People are so energized over the McCain-Palin ticket,” McCain volunteer Bobbi White said.
For those who do have tickets to the event, doors open at 4 p.m.
