NMI and Monahan kiss and make up

Big sweetie sugar pie Joe Monahan made nice-nice with NMI this morning, so now we love him and he is back on the birthday party list. In a post on his site this morning, Joe clarified what he meant when he said ”Original statewide coverage of New Mexico news is essentially limited to the Journal, a smallish AP presence and three television stations.” Also, he offered to bring us fancy chocolates. Mmm…chocolates.

“We define ‘original statewide coverage’ as including subjects other than government and public affairs, which NMI specializes in. That means coverage of crime, plane crashes etc.,” Joe wrote.

And while we’re not planning to hire a reporter on the crime and plane crashes beat anytime soon (how could we compete with “Lights and Sirens?”) we are grateful for the clarification and we say “Thanks, Joe!”

Thanks also to all our friends and colleagues at the Journal who wrote sweet/funny/bitter notes and comments yesterday. You are also invited to our party. Which we haven’t actually planned yet. But apparently there will be chocolates!
