Some of the New Mexicans who traveled to Washington for the inauguration received free tickets to the swearing-in ceremony from their senators or representatives. The tickets had to be picked up in person by 3 p.m. Monday, and lines snaked around all of the House and Senate office buildings. I spoke with some people from New Mexico who were waiting in the cold to get their tickets.
