Of course the Republicon plan wouldn't create a significant number of new jobs. It's just the same old voodoo economics--tax cuts for the rich, crumbs for everyone else. The only jobs created by tax cuts for the rich are jobs in industries that cater to the rich: yacht building, private aircraft, Mcmansions, etc. Of course these tax cuts would allow the rich to hire more servants, because after all someone's got to wait on them, clean up after them, trim their hedges, but their would be no jobs that would help working families move up in the world. For that you need jobs with good salaries and benefits (and for that you need more labor union jobs). One can only hope the US has had enough of the Republicon inanity-insanity.

One of the best thing the Dems can do for job creation, in addition to the stimulus package, is pass the Employee Free Choice Act, so that more Americans have the opportunity to bargain collectively for their wages, benefits, and working conditions.
