Udall, Pearce agree to YouTube debate

Tom Udall and Steve Pearce have agreed to a debate on YouTube.

“One of the most watched senatorial campaigns this election season is going down in New Mexico. Battleground territory, traditionally unreliable for both the Republican and the Democratic Party,” says the introductory video.

YouTube is making it easy to submit a question for the two candidates. “All you have to do is add your video question as a reply to this one,” the video says. Or you can add your question as a comment on the YouTube video itself.

There are some caveats, however. The questions must be “fair” and “must be aimed at both candidates.”

The top five questions “based largely on your rankings and view counts” will then be given to each candidate. The candidates’ answers will be available for view at www.youtube.com/youchoose08 as well as each of their YouTube channels.

Udall’s channel is called UdallForUsAll while Pearce’s is titled PeopleForPearce.
