my brother was also murdered by one of these memphis mob animals he was shot in the back in albuquerque new mexico and unfortunatly for me and my family has not got justice cause APD is not doing there job i feel like they dont even try as if they consider him just another body.wish APD would do there job and bring my brothers murderer too justice they know who did it but they say they cant charge him and i ask why i also ask why do they say case solved when no arrest has been made

There was no ‘mob’ this is all propaganda. The APD has placed many random offenders,most of which weren’t from Memphis,into a group.Infact the picture shown above there is a Texas and Loisiana.These two were friends who actually commited crimes against another unlisted memphis man, and so they too were added to the list.
This facade served to function as hype for the police department, fooling others into thinking there was a massive organized crime ring, and that they were a good enough police force to stop it.This was done right around election time mind you, and the chief wanted to look as good as possible to get re-elected.

Mind you the list included over 50 people at first and was later groomed to a nice round 38. And of those 38 only 13 were african american.

Just my thoughts,now each of the people that was arrested knew what the effects would be if they was to ever get caught,so thier not surpised,now me i feel that the law is for everyone..meaning i've been to court for the pasted seven years on a mistake of indenty whinch i still be repeatly arrested and lost of job and guns drawn on me lost of six cars and many jobs and all i get is a a letter and well fix it and nunthing happens but more lost for my self..I hate to say it but ,police can be the biggest gang with the same likes as the memphis MOB money,woman greed,and dont want to take their charge,so until they do the right thing why should they,Memphis i'm from here and 95% of the goverment does things that are not legal,schoolboard messed up with guns being hinded by workers police in the maco hitting on woman to city workers playing golf to taking braves to bringing cell phone into the prison for inmates,to barrlet not wanting to be part of memphis,but have police and fire department partys to whinch a guest was rapped to police beating up people in cordova losing their jobs to the boy in west memphis losing his life when their wasnt a toy gun at all. maybe we should run who ever with the shit out ,police,gangs,school board rep the kkk acting people, the blacks that just want to complain and not do shit..all the half of men..All half of woman.Everybody get your shit right..those guys dont have airplains to fly that shit here..

Gwyneth, I see a little balance coming into your coverage of this story and I appreciate it.

You've your own reporting and have been fair to note that not all leaders in the local African-American community are upset with the Journal's reporting. If we are ever going to address the remaining racial issues in this country, we need more people with the wisdom of the Reverend Reverend N. D. Smith.

Could the Journal have done a better job? Of course – but you could have too on your first story.
