SFReeper has the dirt on medical marijuana producer applications. Or at least the pending and approved applications for nonprofit medicinal marijuana producers.

John Fleck at the ABQNews blog tells us that drought conditions are worsening in New Mexico.

“Nearly 80 percent of the state in abnormally dry or drought conditions, up from 60 percent a week ago,” Fleck writes. The conditions look to be worst down in Heath’s neck of the woods in southern New Mexico.

Coco takes a break from talking about urban development and points out an art and opinion piece from today’s New York Times about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

And one of my favorite bloggers, NewMexiKen, is back blogging again. At least until May 20. He went back to blogging on Sunday, but it wasn’t until yesterday that I found out about it.

Some random sightings via Twitter. Chicago Bears (and University of New Mexico alum) Brian Urlacher was at El Pinto Restaurant last night. Governor Bill Richardson was spotted at Zinc. Former Albuquerque Journal columnist Jim Belshaw will be doing a book signing at Bookworks on Sunday of Trickster in the Front Yard, a collection of columns.
