The Washington Examiner criticized the way that actor Val Kilmer is going about schmoozing those in Washington D.C. At least when it’s compared to singer Pete Wentz, most famous for being the singer for Chicago-based Fall Out Boy.
“Arriving an hour late Saturday to the Invisible Children rally in front of the Capitol, Kilmer avoided his fans and refused to take any pictures,” the Washington Examiner wrote. “When a father and his young son asked to take a picture with him, he begrudgingly agreed, but turned his head to the right as the picture was snapped.”
But compared to Wentz, the Washington Examiner said, Kilmer is a novice when it comes to playing to a crowd.
It might just be that Kilmer has been in the public eye for longer; while Kilmer has been a celebrity since the mid-80s, Wentz first gained widespread fame in 2005.
Kilmer hasn’t announced that he will run for New Mexico governor. But he has been reportedly seriously considering taking the plunge for the last few months. Wentz, at least to this blogger’s knowledge, has not expressed any desire to run for political office.
