Allen Weh to decide on gubernatorial run this afternoon

This afternoon, former Republican Party of New Mexico chairman Allen Weh will announce his decision whether or not to run for governor in 2010.

If Weh does decide to run, he will join National Guard Brigadier General Greg Zanetti in the Republican primary. On the Democratic side, Lt. Gov. Diane Denish is already running for governor.

Actor Val Kilmer, who has a 6,000 acre ranch near Santa Fe that he is trying to sell, has expressed interest in running for governor.

Weh is the CEO of CSI Aviation Services, Inc. and is a retired colonel in the United States Marine Corps. He also served as an elected delegate from New Mexico to the 2000 Republican National Convention.
