The Associated Press writes about New Mexico’s first printing press and the controversy surrounding the then-newfangled technology.

KOB-TV is reporting that Schott Solar’s new solar manufacturing plant is celebrating its official grand opening today.  Located in Mesa del Sol, the company is employing 330 employees initially, with hopes to expand the number of “green collar” jobs in the state’s largest city going forward.

Also, the New Mexico Business Weekly lists the seven top industries in the United States during our times of economic hardship.  Topping the list: vehicle maintenance, home remodeling and grocery store food sales.

And on the water beat, the Las Cruces Sun-News has a story detailing ongoing research efforts at New Mexico State University to reduce arsenic in drinking water. Thirsty?
