Check out Tom Udall and Jeff Bingaman’s earmark requests

For the first time, U.S. senators are required to disclose all their earmarks before they can be considered by the Senate Appropriations Committee. Both New Mexico Senators were among the 96 Senators who, according to Real Time Investigations, have disclosed their earmarks.

Unfortunately, the earmarks are not disclosed in the easiest form for people to see what earmarks the two New Mexico Democrats are requesting. Udall and Bingaman have both provided the information via “Links on a page to unsearchable PDFS,” according to Real Time Investigations.

Others, like U.S. Sens. Benjamin Cardin, D-Md., and Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., have it in plain text on a page. Much easier to search through. And there are five senators who don’t request earmarks.

But if you have some time on your hands, you can look through the earmark requests of both Tom Udall and Jeff Bingaman. If you see anything interesting, you can add it in a comment to this post.
