The Santa Fe New Mexican’s Steve Terrell compares Gov. Bill Richardson to Santa Claus. Terrell examines the guv’s moves in office through the lens of sliding “down the proverbial chimney” in regard to education.  Terrell also covers Obama’s visit to Rio Rancho, Gary King on investing public money, and a possible new candidate for Congress.

Also, despite major problems facing Mexico and the current increase in border and drug cartel violence, La Politica blogs about Mexico’s “indomitable spirit” in regards to economic growth and creating jobs.

Clearly New Mexico’s Tracy Dingmann blogs PNM and carbon pollution — more importantly, how this relationship will affect consumers.  With a move to limit carbon pollution, through a long line of politics, permits and the oil and gas industry, it is hard to say how new regulations will hit consumers in the end.

And lastly, Democracy for New Mexico has the voting records of state officials in regard to several recent issues including credit card reform and allowing loaded guns in national parks. This blog delves much deeper than mere voting numbers and keeps track of the decisions being made for New Mexicans.
