Though much of the attention so far has been on the Albuquerque municipal elections, New Mexico’s state capital is also holding a mayoral election. And incumbent Mayor David Coss filed today in the Santa Fe city clerk’s office to run for a second term.

“I have been so honored to serve as Mayor of Santa Fe,” said Coss in a statement. “This is a very special place with so many wonderful, talented people, and I look forward to continuing our hard work for another four years.”

The statement says that he will expand on the “major themes” of his campaign in coming days.

Coss included the Rail Runner as one of his accomplishments over his term in office. This was along with a new downtown Civic Center and the “beginning of the restoration” of the Santa Fe River.

And, in case you were wondering, his campaign slogan is “A City that Works for All of Us — Un Lugar Para Todos.”
