If you don't have me as a state worker looking out for your best interest regarding the safety of univeristy medical research hazards - you might just end up with no medical research and no cures for your ailments. Do you really want to go back to the dark ages where citizens die from curable diseases?<br>I've been working selflessly for 35 years at slave labor wages, trying to come up with treatments for your illnesses. On my salary I can't even afford the state offered health care insurance so that I too can have access to the treatments wer're discovering. My reward? I get to pay extra in taxes so the well-off business owners and the NM econmy won't suffer! I ask, who are the selfish ones in this scenario?

One more comment, a lot of the work these state workers do we could do without. How would they like no job so we don't have to support their retirement. Also, they don't make any money it is people like me who make the money that pays their wages and retirement.

Typical selfish boomer generation mentality. Don't these fools understand they should take care of themselves. We the public don't own them everything we have. We own them nothing. These selfish governement workers have to understand is it hard times for all of us and THE ARE NOT EXEMPT. Pay a fair share state workers and forget the Democratic Party line that you are entitled to other peoples money.
