DCCC spends heavily in CD1, CD2

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) pushed another $146,355.48 into the 2nd Congressional District on Tuesday. The spending is to support Democrat Harry Teague and to oppose Republican Ed Tinsley.

The spending, according to FEC filings, pushes the total spending in the district to $240,755.62.

The DCCC also put significant funds into the 1st Congressional District in support of Democrat Martin Heinrich and in opposition to Republican Darren White. The DCCC reported expenditures of $177,838.30 on Tuesday. This brings the total spending in the district to nearly three-quarters of a million dollars: $650,447.07.

The bulk of the money in the 2nd Congressional was spent on a media buy and the rest on media production. The DCCC spent a similar amount in the 1st Congressional District on a media buy and media production.

The DCCC also spent a little more than $16,000 on mail services in the 1st Congressional District.
