If you are going to use the term sanctuary city then understand what it means because technically ABQ is not a sanctuary city.You would be able to better get your point across if you were able to articulate your point using terms that you understood.

Ms. Childress,

Since you don't think any human is illegal, when will you write a story about the Federal Government allowing certain humans, namely ones originating from Latin American, to "immigrate" to the US at 30 times the rate they allow humans to "immigrate" from Asia, Africa, and Latin America?

I mean, do you think all humans are the same, and should all have the same opportunity to "immigrate" to the USA? Or do you you think humans from Latin America are superior and that is why you don't care that the US Government allows 30 Latin Americans to "immigrate" for every Asian, African, and European they allow to "immigrate", and thus do not write about this highly preferentially treatment for Latin Americans over non-Latin Americans?

Hobbling the police, who serve to protect the people legally here makes no sense at all. Marjorie Childress appears to back illegals over citizens and may continue to do so until an important thing happens - that sad day when she or her family become victims of an illegal alien. Only then may she wake up and realize what she has said. There is nothing wrong with diversity, but there is something very wrong with promoting the breaking of the laws of the USA.

Some US people want English declared as the US's official language. They think it will encourage immigrants and Indians to learn English faster by punishing them if they use other languages. I meant that England, the source of the English language, which gets lots of immigrants, doesn't feel it necessary to do that officially. And their public broadcasting system, the BBC, also broadcasts in Gaelic. Enlightened people realize that almost all immigrants learn English as fast as they can, and that it isn't a handicap to know and use more than one language. Each language structures reality differently, and it helps in problem-solving to know more than one way. And it's insulting (and illegal) to tell people they can't use their language.

Oh, and one other thing, Ms. Childress. You need to “call a spade a spade” when describing the racist, reconquista group MALDEF and El Centro de Igualdad y Derechos (Note that the latters title is in Spanish. These people have no respect for the country they're living in, most of them illegally). “Equality and “Rights” for ILLEGAL ALIENS? For Federal lawbreakers? Both of these groups aid and abett lawbreakers and should be shut down along with La Raza and the ACLU. Illegal aliens HAVE no rights except the right to be arrested, jailed, imprisoned and eventually, deported.

Doesn't the writer of this story realize that in an attempt to be "politically correct", she is lying to her readers? I'm not referring to the facts of the story but rather the manner in which the writer tries to conceal the truth in order not to offend the 30-40 million foreign national criminals in our country, properly referred to as ILLEGAL ALIENS. The writer calls them "the undocumented" and "immigrants" when she knows very well that they are neither. There are THREE kinds of people in the U.S., are you reading this Ms. Childress? Let me list them for you:

1) U.S. citizens, natural born, naturalized, etc.
2) Legal/resident aliens (with proper green card, unexpired visa holders, foreign embassy personnel, etc.)
3) Ilegal aliens (Border jumpers, visa overstayers)

Do you see anything in the three categories using the terms "undocumented" or "immigrants", Ms. Childress? I strongly advise you to read up on Federal Immigration law before writing such pro-lawbreaker garbage. While you're at it, check out this U.S. (Federal) law:

"Under Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, "Improper Entry by Alien," any citizen of any country other than the United States who:

Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or

Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or

Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact;
has committed a federal crime.

Violations are punishable by criminal fines and imprisonment for up to six months. Repeat offenses can bring up to two years in prison. Additional civil fines may be imposed at the discretion of immigration judges, but civil fines do not negate the criminal sanctions or nature of the offense."

Now, are ILLEGAL ALIENS "the undocumented"? If so, why not call them by their rightful name? Whether they are your friends, Ms. Childress, or whether they work with you at the paper or serve you your burgers at McDonald's in Albequerque, THEY ARE FEDERAL CRIMINALS!! Now, maybe they're nice people and are "just looking for a better life" but their first act in entering our country was to break our Federal laws. If we were to sneak into Mexico and get caught, we'd be in prison for 2 years. Does the Mexican govt. tolerate illegal entry? No, unless of course they've been paid off by Islamic terrorists to sneak them in and into the U.S.
