I appreciate knowing real Alaskans point of views (thank you Tracy) and not crap from their self-made mouthpiece. You can nitpick all you want, but the theme of this piece still holds strong, Alaskans are dependent on government services more than most states and it's mostly because how isolated they are. They probably could survive without that help, but I doubt it would be a comfortable way of living, and I'm sure the private companies there wouldn't take advantage of that fact either.
