Corruption in the system? You decide.

SUN Healthcare Group Inc. had a skilled nursing home, SUNbridge in Newport Beach, California, who was notified by me in writing in 2003 that they had broken equipment (HVAC system), while under a California State injunction not to, for killing patients in 2001 in a Burlingame facility during a heatwave. One year later my mother died as a result of that and other broken equipment (blood pressure monitors) according to their medical director, Dr L Scott Stoney. Granted, when their CEO Rick Matros learned my mother was harmed he sent his regional employee and former girlfriend, Julie Campbell, to apologize to me for him. But of course I sued three years later and when I attended a mediation for settlement my attorney threatened me for Mr. Matros with bodily harm if I pursued this case to trial. Perhaps because I could prove his willful misconduct? Further insult to me, I'd just had major surgery and was still in recovery. After I regained my strength months later I sued my attorney Daniel Leipold for malpractice and won, yet forced into bankruptcy due to financial ruin it cost me. My attorney sadly died a few weeks later -I wonder if from the stress?. I was cheated out of Millions for compensation for wrongful death, elder abuse, intentional infliction of emotional distress and pain & suffering for my mother who could not swallow due to a stroke they caused for the last nine months of her life. She suffered complete renal failure. She had a horrific nine month long death. I was due treble damages (triple the damages) due to their willful misconduct. It's been my understanding the decision was made by the CEO Mr. Matros not to replace equipment and chance a death. Then he should have paid me without complaint.

Sun Healthcare Group Inc out of New Mexico makes profits at the cost of elder abuse and manslaughter. Do we want this to continue in America? Reform nursing homes FIRST.

I also commend Spiri and his family for their service to this country. So often we apply the term “heroes” to those who do not deserve the label, such as professional athletes. But in my mind, anyone commissioned in the military deserves the moniker. Thank you.
