Finally a candidate worth voting for! At last after nothing but Party hacks and stooges a man of integrity and principle. Not like the loser Ben Ray. In the world of political discourse Adam Kokesh is a giant among midgets. The country would be in safe hands if he were in Congress.

We're likely more-or-less on the same page. My apologies if the comment came off as an attack--sometimes I get worked up as I feel so betrayed by my elected officials, and Adam certainly seems like a new-hope, a message that can be paradigm shifting if we can understand the philosophy behind it all (I'm getting there).

Thanks for clearing up not knowing about the video and the lot. The "pretty politics" comment was an offhanded attempt at pointing out the hypocrisy of bashing someone for their appearance (e.g., like in a video) and not for their ideas. That is understood now, however.

It will be a very interesting election season in CD3

Well, my apologies, then. I honestly didn't know that he hadn't been involved with the production of that video. "The delusions of grandeur" bit might have been too much, but I meant it more as a figure of speech, referring to one who might be getting ahead of themselves, than to suggest he was actually delusional. None of which matters, I suppose, if he was uninvolved in that video. I should have researched it more deeply before commenting on it.

I think, from my statement, you can see that I wasn't in fact judging him entirely on the "merits" of that video, but I respect your defense of him, and your passion for his campaign.

I'm not sure what you mean by "pretty politics," but I honestly assure you, I'm not playing any kind of game, pretty, petty or otherwise. I, clearly mistakenly , thought he was involved in that video, and was disturbed by the imagery. I've had enough of cults of personality, thanks.

I look forward to seeing how things develop with the upcoming campaigns. I've seen some things that I like about Mr. Kokesh, and some things I don't. I wholeheartedly welcome a new voice to the debate, however, even if I don't entirely agree with it; it's past time we had more input into governance than the two primary parties give us. With respect, however, I think it is way too early to suggest that Mr. Kokesh's campaign might be so influential as to be "paradigm-shifting."

Thank you for your courteous reply.

That video was not made by Adam, it was made by some supporters of Adam. Indeed, the video portrayed Adam a bit out of line, but are you actually suggesting that a supporter made video actually changed him? That is a very superficial way to analyze what I think to be a very influential, paradigm shifting campaign. If Adam had made it, it would be one thing, but to say that Adam is delusional because of it I find such a statement without merit. Can all of us please stop playing "pretty politics" and focus on peace, liberty, and community organizing? Who cares about one video Adam didn't make, honestly, I don't see how that fits in.

However, I'm glad that you can see what is happening with the campaign and that Adam's message is a very solid one. It looks like it is going to be fun watching him.

Really? I appreciate his service, and his outspoken advocacy for veterans and his opposition to the Iraq debacle, but have you seen the video on YouTube "Adam Kokesh: "WHO WILL STAND WITH US?""

It looks to me like the guy has gone from legitimate activist to genuine wingnut with delusions of grandeur. I mean, that video wasn't in the least messianic, was it? Creepy...

His website shows some promise...his issues section is a little light on actual policy and leans a bit much on sweeping statements and generalizations, though I suppose that isn't out of the ordinary, really.

I'll keep an eye on him, though. I'm pretty much and anti-incumbent voter for Congressional races, these days. We'll see....

This guy is amazing. Simple and enough said. I'm done with playing politicans games and Adam is genuine as it can seem. I'm very glad to see someone like Adam emerge in CD-3.
