Thanks for clearing up not knowing about the video and the lot. The “pretty politics” comment was an offhanded attempt at pointing out the hypocrisy of bashing someone for their appearance (e.g., like in a video) and not for their ideas. That is understood now, however.

I think, from my statement, you can see that I wasn't in fact judging him entirely on the “merits” of that video, but I respect your defense of him, and your passion for his campaign.

I'm not sure what you mean by “pretty politics,” but I honestly assure you, I'm not playing any kind of game, pretty, petty or otherwise. I, clearly mistakenly , thought he was involved in that video, and was disturbed by the imagery. I've had enough of cults of personality, thanks.

I look forward to seeing how things develop with the upcoming campaigns. I've seen some things that I like about Mr. Kokesh, and some things I don't. I wholeheartedly welcome a new voice to the debate, however, even if I don't entirely agree with it; it's past time we had more input into governance than the two primary parties give us. With respect, however, I think it is way too early to suggest that Mr. Kokesh's campaign might be so influential as to be “paradigm-shifting.”

However, I'm glad that you can see what is happening with the campaign and that Adam's message is a very solid one. It looks like it is going to be fun watching him.

It looks to me like the guy has gone from legitimate activist to genuine wingnut with delusions of grandeur. I mean, that video wasn't in the least messianic, was it? Creepy…

His website shows some promise…his issues section is a little light on actual policy and leans a bit much on sweeping statements and generalizations, though I suppose that isn't out of the ordinary, really.

I'll keep an eye on him, though. I'm pretty much and anti-incumbent voter for Congressional races, these days. We'll see….
