Pearce voted against Bush on the SCHIP, Bank Bailouts and anytime the interests of “small business” and “little people” of New Mexico were endangered. You really think Teague is not a “lapdog” in the hands of the current partisan controlled, house, senate and executive branch. Look at his voting record.

Aw come on. This isn't the change I voted for. It is more of the same large international corporate donor influence. Just a different moral agenda. Let's get past partisan politics. This is the small guy being destroyed by the large faceless international corporate greed of a financial system run amuck.Who do you think shapes & Influences the agendas of any current elected official? Who ever gives the most money. Let's fight the real fight.

Oh, by the way I do think “clean energy” is good for our country and we need to do everything we can to reduce our dependency on foreign oil immediately.

There is no way you can compare Steve Pearce to Harry Teague. Steve doesn't put his finger in the air to test which way the wind blows. It appears that Mr. Teague goes along with the party even when it is not in the best interest of New Mexico. We are a small state and we need someone to be resolute. The previous comments look like the usual partisan rhetoric. Let's get past that and look at voting records. What is best for NM is best for small business and regular folks not the big money international corporate campaign donors.

In 2006 Steve Pearce was pushing a slick but ridiculous Social Security privatization scheme. Can you image if that program was approved – it would be a one of the biggest disaster in U.S. history?

I can't believe anyone would seriously support Mr. Pearce for any office. I already lost half the value of my 401k.

Type your comment here.Pearce is dead wrong about jobs in the energy sector. Here is an excerpt from a June 2009 Pew Research Study:
“New Mexico’s clean energy economy is just getting started, but it’s experiencing explosive growth,” said Gregory Green, New Mexico representative for the Pew Environment Group. “Jobs in its clean energy sector grew 25 times faster than the state’s jobs overall between 1998 and 2007. And the state attracted nearly $148 million in venture capital in just the past three years. New Mexico is setting ambitious goals for expanding its clean energy economy even more—like its plan to buy all of the power for state agencies from renewable sources within the next two years.”
In 2007, there were more than 4,800 jobs in New Mexico’s clean energy economy.

Mr. Pearce is out of touch with New Mexico.
