Today, Congressman Ben Ray Luján, D-N.M., launched the American Recovery and Reinvestment Project Map — a Google map “which shows where funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is going in New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District.”
The locations aren’t perfect (as SF Reeper notes, the Santa Fe Airport is on the wrong side of town and I see a few areas in Rio Rancho that seem to be a bit off), but it is still a vizualization of where the recovery funds from Washington are going, whether it be $75,000 from the Department of Energy for the Ute Mountain Tribe or $28,414 from the Department of Justice for the city of Aztec.
Sorry people in Albuquerque and southern New Mexico, no map for you guys yet.
But you can see the map for the 3rd Congressional District below or see a more interactive version here.
