Heath Haussamen today posted a guest blog in response to his call for asking his readers about their political identifications and reasoning behind such affiliations. In our bipartisan world of frustrating politics, hear why one New Mexico woman states, “I’m independent because I am pro-people.”

Over at Democracy for New Mexico there’s a post about Project New West, “a leading authority on the values, issues, and demographics that define America’s ‘New West.’” They are bringing together lawmakers and other politicos from the region to meet in Denver to discuss the future the “New West.”

Also on Democracy for New Mexico posts the Sarah Palin resignation song to help some prepare for the long week ahead of them. I have a feeling the video will also rile a few people up.

The SFReeper’s has a dose of dark humor with a picture of a Santa Fe Plaza storefront.

The Las Cruces Connection today covers Operation Lone Star 2009.  The program begins today in southern Texas in the Rio Grande Valley for local rural communities, offering two weeks of free medical and dental services for residents along the U.S-Mexico border.  This blogger promises more coverage on the program in the near future.

Scot Key has a post about the U.S. Department of Education regarding ARRA programs specifically dealing with education, of course.
