Six. That’s the number of senators who “hold the fate of health care reform in their hands,” Washington Post White House correspondent Chris Cilizza writes today. The so-called Gang of Six includes Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) and ranking minority member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) as well as Sens.Mike Enzi (R-Wyoming), Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) and Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.)
Bingaman and the rest of his gang have been invited to meet with President Obama at the White House tomorrow to discuss negotiations over health care reform.
