DNC pushing back on RNC radio ads against New Mexico Dems

Organizing for America (OFA), a project of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is now pushing back on radio ads from the Republican National Committee (RNC) that are targeting House Democrats, Democracy for New Mexico reports.

OFA will be airing their own radio ads in these districts, including in support of Congressman Martin Heinrich, D-Albuquerque.

You can hear the OFA radio ad here.

The ads will run from today into next week. Heinrich, along with the rest of Congress, will be on their August recess until September.

“Congressman Martin Heinrich is fighting for New Mexico,” the ad says. “He’s taking on the lobbyists and the special interests and standing up for us and our families. And he is working every day to make sure we have affordable quality health care.”

The RNC is also airing ads against Teague, though Teague is not a beneficiary of the OFA ads. There are sixty districts targeted by the RNC, but just 19 will be targeted by OFA.

In addition to Heinrich, the ads are airing in the following Democratic districts:

Driehaus (OH-01), Dahlkemper (PA-03), Kirkpatrick (AZ-01), Giffords (AZ-08), McNerney (CA-11), Perlmutter (CO-07), Kosmas (FL-24), Grayson (FL-08), Walz (MN-01), Titus (NV-03), Maffei (NY-25), Massa (NY-29), Kilroy (OH-15), Boccieri (OH-16), Space (OH-18), Wilson (OH-06), Nye (VA-02) and Kagen (WI-08).
