It amazes me that all Voices people can do is advocate for tax increases and anti-business policy. Why is that? I guess we like being 49th in only the worst ways… it does keep them relevant I suppose. Does the waste, fraud, and abuse not bother them? Do they not see dollars going to political cronies, pointless projects and overcharges as competing for precious taxpayer dollars with the people and programs they supposedly care about? As an effective union front organization, don't they at least care about the huge injection of overpaid exempt and classified state workers clogging up the system, hurting taxpayer attitudes about real public servants and good government (that supports and implements their programs). Apparently not. Eat the rich we like to say… which is to say that anyone making over $16,000 is a villain and target instead in their eyes. I wish they would work for good government and the needs of the people rather than just against the supposed enemies of their patrons. Nothing ever changes in NM. Reminds me of the town hall protesters.

Please!!!! The New Mexico state budget has grown to 6 BILLION DOLLARS or by some 40 percent since Bill Richardson took office in 2003. The population of NM has grown 6% since then. I see serious imbalances. SLASH THE BUDGET! DON'T RAISE TAXES!
