NMI to co-host Albuquerque mayoral debate Sept. 16

Mayoral Debate 4W-1Mark your calendars now and plan to join us on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center for a mayoral debate co-hosted by the New Mexico Independent, KUNM FM, KNME TV and the Weekly Alibi. The debate will be open to the public, with audio broadcast live on KUNM, live streaming video on KNME and a live blog on this site. All three candidates, Richard Berry, Martin Chavez and Richard Romero, have confirmed for the debate, which will be moderated by Marisa Demarco of Weekly Alibi, Gwyneth Doland of NMI, Gene Grant of KNME, and Jim Williams of KUNM. The moderators will include questions submitted by the live audience, participants of the live blog and video questions submitted via YouTube.

The Bank of America Theatre at the National Hispanic Cultural Center only holds about 300 people, so be sure to get there early if you want to get a seat. The broadcast will begin promptly at 7 p.m. and we’ll need everyone seated and quiet when we begin.
