My interest is in the public financing system, mainly, and more generally in how institutional support impacts various campaigns. I think looking at the Republican Party in this case is interesting, but there are other alignments this year that may trump it when it comes to the interest factor. I've already written about one of those year.

Back to the public financing system, the fact that polling happened in December is notable and it informs how these big races will be run in the future. This is the second poll that happened in December that I've written about this year. I think its informative to point it out, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people agree with me. As to writing about liberal groups helping Dems, I've been looking through the financial reports myself, but in general reporters rely on others to tell them things. So if I've not seen something that doesn't pass the smell test, by all means shoot me an email.
