Bingaman vows support for Baucus bill that does not include a public option

We need a single-payer system. Why must we the people subsidize the bloated insurance industry, which acts like a mafia and is nothing more than a bureaucratic payment system that does more to deny health care than to provide health care? The Gang of Six bill is a give-away to the insurance and pharmaceutical industries at tax-payer expense. Anything that uses tax credits simply shifts the burden from one tax-payer to another without having any effect on the obscene malignancy we call health insurance, which adds 30% to the nations health costs. And the idea of co-ops is a nod and wink to Wall Street investors and CEOs that will do nothing to solve any of the "affordability" issues of our current health-care disaster.

There are many reasons to oppose President Obama's push to take over the nation's health care system, but among the most important is this one: his plan will put Planned Parenthood clinics inside your child's school.
Yes, you read that right. Under an innocuous-sounding section titled "School-Based Health Clinics," H.R. 3200 will authorize Planned Parenthood, as a "sponsoring facility," to run a clinic during school hours on the grounds of public schools, with absolutely no accountability either to parents or school administrators.
Clinics would be accountable only to the Secretary of Health & Human Services, the radically pro-abortion Kathleen Sebelius, who was a fervent supporter of late-term abortionist George Tiller.
All this will be done at taxpayer expense. And unlike the rest of the bill, which isn't slated to go into effect until 2013, these clinics are scheduled to go into schools next fall.

Planned Parenthood reduces the need for abortions as well as reduces teen pregnancies, broken families, and it breaks the cycle of perpetual generational poverty.

As a life long Dem, I am ashamed of our senior senator! He has sold his soul to the insurance industry and he along with Backass can roll around in the outrageous amounts of money they have taken from the insurance industry. Without a strong Public Option, this bill will be nothing more than a windfall for the insurance providers and will do nothing to reduce our premiums. I will be visiting the post office to change my voter registration to Independent! No more money or time to this spineless, talks out both sides of his mouth, corrupt senator from NM! This bill will fine those folks who already cannot afford to pay these premiums. Now we will have to decide between paying the mortgage, feeding the kids, and paying fines because some of us are the working poor. Mr. Bingaman is a disgrace to his party! Vote him out!

The Baucus bill is only one of 5 that haven't been combined yet.. The only reason it gets so much media attention is that it was written by the health insurance lobbyists. AND that the "Gang of Six" has been delaying it as long as they can in order to destroy it.
NM will be in a world of hurt with our corrupt politicos cutting Medicaid AND if we don't get this Public Option to rein in the greed of the insurance corporations.
Watch your premiums continue to skyrocket without the PO.
