There are many issues around this subject that are complex and delicate. Most people who migrate to the US Illegally are doing it for survival purposes. This is something, of course, that most of us US Born citizens cannot relate to. We were fortunate enough to be born on US soil. Its difficult for me to understand certain opinions and viewpoints toward this subject, but I have to remind myself that all of our viewpoints/opinions are based on a combination of knowledge and experience. Until you are put in a survival situation, you cannot be sure of what you might do. Many illegal immigrants come here to feed their families and aren't breaking any laws at all.

Many people come here to work and seek a better life, some come here to obtain an education, some may come here to deal drugs, some may come here smuggling people into the US, and some may even come here to simply be unproductive criminals.

In my opinion, Napolitano does have to have some kind of plan or strategy for battling immigration issues. A comment was made about "catering to people who break the law." We are far from catering to people who break the law. I know many families who are separated due to are strict laws. There are people who are brought to the US very young. They know nothing about Mexican life. They know English as we do, they received an education here in the US, and they've simply been raised as a US Citizen, and many are taking the stance to send people like this back "HOME." "Home" for people in these situations is the US. They know nothing about the Mexican life and how to live it. Many families that are separated have children that were born in the US and their parents have been deported, and the children have been put in foster care. But....we're catering to illegal immigrant....

See...there's always two sides to a story. Not to mention, these are human beings just like you and me, who desire the things that we desire....a better life.

The criminals.....yeah, send them home. I believe that should be the priority. So I don't think there is anything wrong with Napolitanos plan.

History has shown that countries that have let their country be invaded by people in numbers that the US has will fail to be a free country. This looks like we may be on the down hill slide.

If we are a 'nation of laws' as she claims... why is the government trying to cater to people who have broken the law to get here? We are a 'nation of immigrants and opportunity' not illegal immigrants and opportunity. Illegal immigrants are, by definition, criminals.

Why are we tripling the number of agents associated with vehicles -leaving- the US? On that note, just because it's not called the Gestapo doesn't mean the TSA isn't the foundation of a similar organization.

These people should not get citizenship here at all. All you are saying is if you can walk or
run or boat over through the US boundary, you are in for a free ride. In the past people like
this were deported. Why arent you protecting the true citizens of the uS who are paying
your wages.

She's a liar. Her job is to enforce Fed. Immigration Law and she's doing everything she can to circumvent it, as if there weren't enough loopholes in the laws already.

First and foremost is enforcement. Since she took over, there has been none except some early Spring raids on gangs in L.A. She has publicly stated that ICE will no longer go after non-gang Border jumpers, the kind of illegal alien who is "just looking for work". What that means is, 95% of those who break in now are basically going to be left alone in the U.S. interior. That is NOT doing her job!

Secondly, in January, the FBI came out with its conservative report on gang membership in the U.S. They put the number at 1 million but of course they did not delineate how many are illegal aliens. Chances are 2/3rds of them are illegal, but for the sake of "fairness", let's make it 30%--300,000. Think about it, folks...300,000 violent, viscious gang members in our midst! Is Napolitano doing anything about it? No.

Thirdly, there was a report a few weeks ago that Napolitano is cutting back on BP agents on the Mexican Border by 150 and moving them to the Canadian Border. What does she know that we don't know? If anything, we need TWICE the current number of BP agents in the Mexican Border, NOT a reduction!

The DHS Head needs to be fired, yesterday.

Yes Maam, the "groundwork" for stabbing the American people in the back is zooming along. And as the words of government speak and spittle were coming out of your lying mouth, the border is wide open with tens of thousands of illegals aliens slinking in to strip mine the good American people , a relentless horde of third world locust.Committing crimes of murder ,and assorted mayhem..Any honorable government would protect the border from foreign nationals but you wouldn't know about that. You are a ugly democratic hack. And hopefully next election your ilk will be thrown from the trough you feed on.
