Governor Bill Richardson’s approval rating has dropped 7 points since August, according to a SurveyUSA poll commissioned by KOB-TV. The poll shows that 48 percent of New Mexicans approve of the way Richardson is doing his job while 47 percent disapprove.
The poll has a margin of error of +/- 4.1 percent.
The previous SurveyUSA poll, conducted in August, showed 55 percent of those polled approved of the way Richardson was doing his job versus 43 percent who disapproved.
Richardson’s highest approval rating was at 74 percent in February and May of 2007.
