IT IS SIMPLE, it has nothing to do with agreeing with the superstitions that others in the church might hold. It is the understanding that no matter what one believes we are all part of the same community.

I never claimed to be religious, or that I believed in any of this. I am saying that your point is moot when arguing with people who think that God is all powerful.

There is sooooo many other effective arguments out there, saying that Jesus couldn't be born because immaculate conception cannot exists as it doesn't provide a second zygote is a waste of time. Immaculate Conception is one of the most basic article of faith for believer, it's a basic pillar of their religion. It's like attacking evolution by saying that it's the same thing as chance, or trying to convince Muslims that they are wrong because Muhammed was a warlord, not a prophet.

“God can do what he wants” is a claim, not a fact. You have nothing, you have the same amount of evidence for your god claim as Muslims do as Hindus do as the Egyptians did.

Humans can do what they want with the stories they sell, they always have. Being good at selling a myth doesn't make the myth real, it just means that humans, throughout the species history has been good at making up stories and selling them as fact.
