We save next to nothing, in fact we've spent far more than we earned as a country. Some economists have warned about this for years, but no politician listened because asking us to do anything hard - like save a few bucks a week, and then only but what we need - and when we have the cash for it - isn't a way to become elected to anything.<br><br>I'm still looking for clues from either Obama or McCain which show they understand the problem and have an approach to fix it.
