		<description>I think the bigger problem is recognizing that American &quot;consumerism&quot; is dead - or at least in a coma. We save next to nothing, in fact we&#039;ve spent far more than we earned as a country. Some economists have warned about this for years, but no politician listened because asking us to do anything hard - like save a few bucks a week, and then only but what we need - and when we have the cash for it - isn&#039;t a way to become elected to anything.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I&#039;m still looking for clues from either Obama or McCain which show they understand the problem and have an approach to fix it. All I hear is &quot;Hope&quot;, &quot;Change&quot; and &quot;Country First&quot;. All meaningless slogans.</description>
