Roughly one quarter of University of New Mexico students are unimpressed with the state’s flagship public school, according to a survey that questioned college students about their higher education experiences.
The free market folks at the Rio Grande Foundation have launched an investigative news Web site, New Mexico Watchdog.
Jim Scarantino, an attorney and former columnist for the Albuquerque Journal and Weekly Alibi, wrote about the launch of the site on New Mexico Liberty, saying “We’re still building the site and will do a “hard launch” soon. This is an early notice to our friends who visit this site.”
Scarantino says he is still learning to use the Web site, part of a national network of sites in other states, including West Virginia and Nebraksa.
Once Scarantino learns to use it, he says, “expect a lot of action.”
