Anybody else find this framing disturbing? First of all, WHOSE taxes are increasing? We ASSUME that he is referring to rescinding the tax cuts of 2003 to the rich and the corporate tax loop holes. But, why so non-specific and why the Republican framing of “increasing taxes”?

These are NOT tax increases, these are restoring fair taxes to the state of NM. This is the Progressive framing, RESCINDING THE TAX CUTS OF 2003.

Restoring a bit more Progressive tax for the rich will not harm their ability to buy groceries and new cars. They will not be moving into trailer parks over slightly higher taxes.

As for the corporate loop holes, if they don't want to pay their fair share for a stable civilization in which to do business, let them leave. Small local New Mexican owned businesses will return to fill the citizens needs and provide jobs and pay their fair business taxes as they are required to do at present.
