There won’t be a vote on a health care reform bill this year, “senior Congressional sources,” told ABC News today. Democratic Congressional leaders as well as the White House wanted to repeatedly have said they wanted a health care reform bill voted on before the end of the year.
“Getting this done by the by the end of the year is a no-go,” Democratic aides in Congress told ABC News.
This appears to be a victory of sorts for Republicans. Just yesterday, an article in Roll Call (subscription required) outlined the Republican Party’s plan “to draw out the debate, attack the measure’s core components and force difficult votes on vulnerable Democrats.”
