It is a dark day in America the house has just passed health care reform bill H.R. 3962. This is a direct infringement on our liberties. The congress men and women that Voted for this bill are not freedom loving Americans. When it becomes so onerous to have a legal
termination because access has dwindled to the point of unavailability, we will see a return to illegal abortions and self-induced abortions. The far-right has obstructed access for years and it is ironic that that it is the Democrats that have delivered the harshest blow to Reproductive Freedom since legalization.
Abortion will be safe and legal in name only but, not in practice.

It is very unfortunate that this political manipulation has been tied to health care reform, but it is important to look at the greater good in getting health care reforms put in place. Anti-abortionists played a bit of a nasty game in manipulating health reforms for their own purposes, but the amendment can always be fought later and it is is important to remember that nobody has lost their right to abortion, just coverage for it.
