The New Mexico Independent plans on liveblogging and webcasting the Budget Balancing Task Force meeting Thursday, which is set to be held from 1 p.m  to 4 p.m. at the Leon Harms Youth Hall at Expo New Mexico.

The task force, appointed by Gov. Bill Richardson, will also meet in Las Cruces, Farmington and Santa Fe in December. The task force’s first meeting was held Monday in Santa Fe. The task force discussed more than 30 tax increase options that could be up for votes in January’s 30 day session.

The Independent had planned to cover the Santa Fe meeting, but we weren’t able to because of scheduling difficulties. Sign up below to be alerted when the live blog begins.
