Aliandra (more like, Aliandro), really is tilting at windmills if he thinks that the nonprofit sector in the U.S. doesn't share a lot of the same funding sources. He might as well not read or watch or listen to any non-profit funded media at all. There's a structural problem with media in this country that is unavoidable...where does the money come from? When Aliandro figures it out, hopefully he'll let us all know.

Unlike most articles one finds in the online media, this one links not only to the report, but points readers to the actual pages to see for themselves. Additionally, she states in the blog that the "analysis" shows. An analysis does not "state" -- it shows.

You obviously don't understand the intent of this site in general--the articles aren't long form, which anyone reading it over the past year can clearly see. The blogs are quite short. When I look at the two pages about New Mexico in this ITEP report, I see nothing that contradicts anything she writes. They confirm what she says--that ITEP's analysis shows New Mexico has a regressive tax system. It is plain as day. It doesn't matter if there are progressive features, the overall effect of the system is regressive.

I'm sorry, but the ad hominem is to falsely imply that I have not read the full report. The prose I am reading in this comment section in reply to my comments is styled as an argument that attempts to persuade me to endeavor toward a particular order of conduct -- that I should "Try reading the full report instead of defending wealthy capitalists." The conclusions are about two different things -- my conclusion is about how the report is presented here, not about the conclusions of the report, rather, whether the conclusions are accurately presented here.

The non-sequitor argument presents a false dilemma. One might read the full report and still defend wealthy capitalists, or one might have read the full report and not be defending wealthy capitalists. Reaching a conclusion about how information from the report was presented by another group funded by the sponsors of the report different than your conclusions -- about the contents of the report -- that's not "defending wealthy capitalists."

For the record, my message about which you offer allegation of ad hominem contained three second person nouns phrases: your argument
you misconstrue you cite.

Your post alleging ad hominem on my part contained six second person nouns, in addition to another command directed at me in each post that mischaracterizes the scope of my reading.

You're projecting. I wasn't arguing. You didn't cite all the report's facts which I cited, facts which speak for themselves and clarify the issue. You've clouded this issue in your own mind, or you're attempting to play us. Let's repeat the issue & expand it, maybe you'll get this: The USA (thanks to rightwing, Reagan, Bush2) & NM (thanks to Richardson, conservative demos, rightwing) now have regressive tax systems on the national and state levels, tax systems which helped create this meltdown of capitalism. Instead of fruitlessly attempting an ad hominem attack, try reading the full report.
http://dr56279wasright.blogspot.com/
