The Grand Ole Party, i.e. the Republican Party in New Mexico did not afford praise to this man. One person who happens to be a registered Republican posted a comment on someone else's political site.

If that's what you consider an action by a statewide political party – that one member made one comment in one informal setting — I'd regret to see what you consider it when one rogue cop beats up a citizen — would you say “The City of Los Angeles attacked Rodney King?”

Your job as a journalist (if that's what you want to be. Think about this carefully please before you show up for work tomorrow) is to accurately reflect civic institutions WE THE PEOPLE established to afford ourselves an orderly society. When you throw out the order we created, you are sewing disorder. You are telling us, the public, not to care about the difference between one person's opinion and the acts of an official body. You are effectively discouraging us from owning the power we created to protect ourselves as a society while you are taking one person's very appropriate public activity as an opportunity to distort the public view of how civil society works.

Do better or get another career.
