Or, has the journalism profession changed so that "like he's got cooties" is now mature, descriptive news language?

By the way, lice infestations remain a problem among children in some parts of New Mexico and repeating the phrase "like he's got cooties" does nothing to help those children -- usually from impoverished households -- who might be stigmatized by their peers when they suffer from head lice, also known as "cooties."
