Admittedly it was a weak attempt at sarcasm - but perhaps one could point to his having made the trains run on time, which if that were true might serve to draw a sardonic comparison between his style of governing and that of Benito Mussolini ...who's legendary effect on the Italian railway system apparently is more of a myth then reality.

Why don't you write some complementary pieces about how great our Governor is instead of always being so darn critical, I bet that doing some of that would make his minions much less dismissive. Of course you still wouldn't get anything the boss didn't want you to have but at least you'd be treated to the same bonhomie and handouts as his tame reporters.

Why only five Google hits for RGS/Richard Cook articles?

Why does the arguably most aggressive investigative paper in the state manage to find so little news about the beneficiary of so many public contracts? Or does RC sell all of his asphalt for construction of private roads? Granted, Google's not getting hitting on all the articles RGS has published about Cookes mining and road-building interests, but what does that say about RGS? Where is their interest in digital media, such as making sure their stories index on search engines(okay, so you know the RGS publisher uses a manual typewriter and has no Internet skills, right? Or did he upgrade to an electric typewriter yet?)
The RGS runs as a sweat-shop psuedo-investigative machine that routinely hires (Then chews up and spits out) out-of-state reporters to develop their investigative chops. Why oh why do they find so little news of interest involving a major beneficiary of public contracts? Is there really any substance to the occassional catfight between yet another out-of-town novice reporter and the local businessman? Does anything change as a result of their occasional story? Has the SUN ever profiled Cookes holdings and political connects? Do they ever get out of the sack they are in together?
