News from around the state: on the rebound

The state’s investment funds are rebounding, but still a long way off from recouping losses, the Santa Fe New Mexican reports today.The funds grew just over 17 percent, which is about twice the target. 

Eclipse Aerospace is “rising from the wreckage” of its failed predecessor and growing, according to KRQE. The company opened in September with 15 employees, but has recently begun hiring. Eclipse Aerospace will not build new jets as of yet, but will focus on servicing light jets produced by Eclipse Aviation before it folded.
The Las Cruces Sun-News reports today on an environmental impact report for White Sands Missile Range that would expand future testing capabilities by changing land uses.

The state’s first “green” amphitheater to be built on the Pueblo of Acoma, notes the Cibola Beacon.  The $5.5 million facility will be funded by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture’s Rural Development Division.
