Martinez hires new campaign manager

Republican gubernatorial candidate Susana Martinez has hired a new campaign manager, Adam Deguire, who was executive director of the Hawaii Republican Party during the 2008 election cycle.

Deguire has also worked as a western states coordinator for the Republican National Committee, a job that included New Mexico. And in 2004, he was the lead field director in New Mexico for the College Republican National Committee.

Deguire replaces Jamie Estrada, a former deputy assistant secretary of commerce, who had been working as Martinez’s acting campaign manager until a new campaign manager was hired.

Martinez also announced the hiring of two other staffers – Finance Director Marie Vulaj, who recently worked on Bob McDonnell’s successful gubernatorial campaign in Virginia, and Political Director Matt Stackpole, who most recently worked on turnout for Albuquerque Mayor Richard Berry’s campaign.
