Want to know what’s happening tomorrow at the Roundhouse? Who’s introduced what bills? How to contact your senator or representative? Check the Web site for the New Mexico state Legislature.

For example, you can watch the proceedings in the Senate or listen to the proceedings in the House when they are in session, at this link.

The Legislature’s Web site also allows readers to search and read specific legislation. The Web site allows searching by key word, bill number or sponsor’s name.

Fiscal impact reports, done for most bills after they’re introduced, provide a useful summary, so look at those in addition to the text of a bill.

In addition, you can see which legislator is part of which committee and when those committees are scheduled to meet. Of course, the times can, and often do, change during the course of the day.
