Doña Ana County voters approve school bonds, mill levy

Voters in Doña Ana County easily approved two bonds and a mill levy for public schools on Tuesday.

Voters in the Las Cruces Public Schools approved a $65 million bond issue and two-mill capital outlay levy, according to unofficial results posted on the district’s Web site.

The bond was approved with 4,161 votes in favor and 1,316 votes against. The mill levy was approved with 3,879 votes in favor and 1,546 votes against.

And a $36 million Gadsden Independent School District bond issue was approved by voters with 164 votes in favor and 24 votes against, according to the Las Cruces Sun-News.
