After getting pushed by a reporter on Twitter, Governor Bill Richardson’s blog is once again active. After blogging multiple times during the contentious special session in October, the Guv. had so far been dark in the 2010 legislative session.

The newest post is a guest blog from John Bartlit and Don Neeper from New Mexico Citizens for Clean Air & Water on the pit rules that many conservative legislators have blamed for driving oil and gas producers out of the state.

The two went after lobbyists for the oil and gas industry, writing, “If they wanted to be judged on facts, they would supply a decent sampling of information. Instead, their pitch crumbles into raw politics as other information pops out in print.”

The entire blog post is a defense of the pit rule.

Later today, the governor’s office promises a post “about legislative attempts to undermine the state’s film incentives.”

It will be interesting to see if Governor Bill Richardson begins defending his administration’s record via his blog as happened during the special session last year.
